Cataract Surgery

Styes, or hordeolum, is a common problem where a blocked oil gland in the eyelid becomes infected and inflamed.

Often these resolve with conservative treatments such as warm compresses and topical medications.

However, in severe or persistent cases,

further treatment such as oral antibiotics or minor surgery may be necessary.

In some cases, a chalazion may result which may be treatable with either an injection or minor surgery.
