There are many problems that can affect the eyelids,

from styes and eyelid tumors to drooping upper eyelids that obstruct vision and

loose lower eyelids that lead to irritation and tearing.

Most of these problems are due to anatomical abnormalities and

are only correctable by surgery.

Eyelid procedures are routinely performed on an outpatient basis and

can sometimes even be done in the office.
